Twitcher: Peacock

Its a month of July. Monsoon season!!! But in Ahmedabad, Monsoon is very light. During this season, Peacocks and peahens roam around my apartment. I am not an expert, but over the years I have observed few things about birds which I am sharing. In Monsoon, Peacock comes early in the morning around 4 am, wanders and perches on top of the terrace wall of the apartment opposite to my home and screams very loudly. Every time when it screams, there is a uniform melodious rhythm and specific start off sound. Before screaming, it wanders on top of the wall, jumps into terrace, opens up its feathers and dances. The dance lasts for 3-4 minutes, after which it closes down the feathers and jump onto the wall. For a while it looks around and starts screaming. Daily, starting from early morning, this sequence continues for 4-5 hours!!! I have seen this every year when monsoon approaches. It is a routine for me, but I am crazy for this.
